Play Gorogoa now if you have one free evening: HowLongToBeat players put its Main Story at 2 hours, which is one evening, and its Completionist time of 2½ hours means seeing everything adds only half an hour. Six more games below reach the credits in 30 minutes to 2 hours of Main Story, and each comes with the latest time you can start and still finish by 10:30 p.m.
Every length on this page is a player-submitted HowLongToBeat time, as displayed on each game’s Deku Deals page. An evening counts as two hours, so evenings are hours ÷ 2, rounded to the nearest half. For games that need two or three nights, the best short games sorted by the evenings they take pick up where this list stops.
Gorogoa fits a two-hour sitting with almost nothing left over
That half-hour gap between the credits and Completionist is why it leads. Games with hours of extras after the ending pull you back on another night. With Gorogoa, the last optional piece lands in the same sitting as the ending, and you can close the save and be done.

You play by sliding, zooming and layering hand-drawn panels so one picture opens into the next, and the puzzles are the whole game. It carries an E rating from the ESRB with no content descriptors.
It runs on Steam for Windows and macOS (price in the table below), on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One, and on iPhone and iPad for $4.99.
Start times for a 10:30 p.m. finish
Each start time is 10:30 p.m. minus the game’s Main + Extra figure. That measure includes the side content a first-time player tends to poke at, which makes it a safer number than Main Story for planning a bedtime.

| Game | Main Story / Main + Extra, hours (HowLongToBeat) | Evenings (Main Story) | Left after credits, hours | Start by for 10:30 p.m. | Steam US list price (USD), Oct 29, 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Florence | 0.5 / 1 | 0.5 | 0.5 | 9:30 p.m. | $5.99 |
| Venba | 1.5 / 1.5 | 1 | 0.5 | 9:00 p.m. | $14.99 |
| Before Your Eyes | 1.5 / 2 | 1 | 2 | 8:30 p.m. | $9.99 |
| Gorogoa | 2 / 2 | 1 | 0.5 | 8:30 p.m. | $14.99 |
| Sayonara Wild Hearts | 1.5 / 2.5 | 1 | 8 | 8:00 p.m. | $12.99 |
| Duck Detective: The Secret Salami | 2 / 2.5 | 1 | 0.5 | 8:00 p.m. | $9.99 |
| Gone Home | 2 / 2.5 | 1 | 1 | 8:00 p.m. | $14.99 |
Hours are HowLongToBeat player-submitted times as displayed on each game’s Deku Deals page, linked in its section. Evenings are Main Story ÷ 2, rounded to the nearest half evening, with halfway cases going up. Left after credits is Completionist minus Main Story.
Four of the seven leave 30 minutes or less once the credits roll. Sayonara Wild Hearts is the outlier in that column, so its ending fits tonight and its score-chasing belongs to other nights.
HowLongToBeat counts reported play, so pauses and menus come on top. How accurate HowLongToBeat is at five hours a week covers why the figures can feel short.
Florence, for the half hour before bed
The Steam page says Florence “lasts around 30 minutes”, and HowLongToBeat players agree on half an hour of Main Story, half an evening. You follow 25-year-old Florence Yeoh, stuck in a loop of work and sleep until she meets a cellist named Krish, through a series of short playable vignettes. Steam and Switch both carry it.
Which games fit 90 minutes?
All three reach the credits inside one evening. What separates them is how much is left afterward, and one needs hardware you may not have.
Venba
You cook as Venba, an Indian mother who moves to Canada with her family in the 1980s, rebuilding dishes from a recipe book damaged in the move. Between recipes, you hold branching conversations with her family. Main Story is 1½ hours and Completionist is 2, so finishing it leaves almost nothing behind. Venba is sold on Steam, Switch, PS5 and Xbox.
Sayonara Wild Hearts
Built as a run of short arcade levels set to an original pop soundtrack, it gets you to the credits after a 1½-hour Main Story, with Main + Extra at 2½ hours and Completionist at 9½. Treat the score-chasing as a separate night if it hooks you. You can play it on Steam, Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5 and Xbox One.
Before Your Eyes
The story moves on each time you blink. Main Story takes 1½ hours on HowLongToBeat, Main + Extra 2 and Completionist 3½. It deals with death, illness and grief, according to the content warning on its Steam page.
Before you buy: on PC, the game reads your blinks through a webcam for its full interaction (Steam), and the PS5 version needs a PlayStation VR2 headset (PlayStation).
Two hours, start to credits
Duck Detective: The Secret Salami
This is the newest game here, released in May 2024. You interview suspects and fill in the blanks of your notebook until the case points to a culprit. HowLongToBeat players log a 2-hour Main Story and 2½ hours for Completionist, and Steam pitches it as “A 2-3 hour long mystery game!” Game Informer’s and GameSkinny’s one-sitting lists both predate it, so neither includes it. Steam, Switch, Xbox and PS5 versions are all available.
Gone Home
The setting is a family house in June 1995, empty when you get back from a year overseas. What happened comes together from what the family left behind, with no combat and no puzzles in the way. Main Story is 2 hours, Main + Extra 2½ and Completionist 3. Since the point is to open drawers and read what’s inside, go by its Main + Extra start time. Versions exist for Steam, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
What Remains of Edith Finch fits this window too, and its own length breakdown walks through each measure.
Firewatch runs past one sitting
GameRevolution and GameSkinny both list Firewatch among games you can finish in one sitting. HowLongToBeat players put its Main Story at 4 hours and Main + Extra at 4½, which is two evenings. Start it at 8 p.m. with time to look around and the credits arrive at 12:30 a.m.
Give it two evenings instead. If you want something darker that does end tonight, the short horror games that finish before midnight stay under three hours.
What to check before you press start
The prices in the table are Steam US list prices. Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and phone versions are priced on their own stores, so check the one you’ll play on before you count on a figure.
Then pick the measure you’ll play to. If you read every note and look behind every door, plan on Main + Extra; if you head straight for the ending, Main Story will do.
For parents: the ESRB rates Gone Home M for drug reference, sexual themes and strong language, and Before Your Eyes T for mild blood, mild language, mild violence and use of alcohol.
If most nights give you 30 minutes rather than two hours, games that still roll credits across half-hour sittings suit that week better.
Start Gorogoa by 8:30 tonight
That start leaves room for its Main + Extra time before 10:30 p.m. If 8:30 has already passed, Florence still fits with a 9:30 start.
